Al Jazeera:
Midnight Report
OVERVIEW
While working at Territory Studio, I contributed to the rebrand of one of Al Jazeera’s flagship news programs. This daily show offers an in-depth analysis of current events told through a uniquely human lens.
As part of the design team, I worked on various deliverables — including opening and closing sequences, full-screen graphic backgrounds, social templates, and on-screen presentation (OSP) assets. The project was part of a wider channel refresh aimed at connecting with a younger, more digitally engaged audience. To support this, we developed a sleek, streamlined visual language that presented information clearly and concisely, while giving the program a distinctly modern, contemporary edge.
Opening and Closing Titles
Broadcast branding projects like this are always rewarding and demand close collaboration with in-house teams to ensure the creative aligns with brand, editorial, and technical requirements. One of our key challenges was to design a title system that felt fresh and dynamic without distracting from the core content. It also had to perform seamlessly not only for broadcast but also for in-studio projections and across Al Jazeera’s digital platforms.
