Why

I believe that creativity isn’t just a skill — it’s a way of seeing the world differently. It’s the ability to approach problems from unique angles, to notice what others overlook, and to be drawn to challenges that have yet to be solved. As a creative mind, I’ve learned that boredom isn’t a weakness, but a signal: a constant pull toward the new, the unexplored, and the unexpected. It’s this restless curiosity — the hallmark of every creative personality — that has shaped my journey.

I’m Lorenzo Miglietta, an Art Director, 3D Generalist, and Motion Graphic Designer with a passion for transforming ideas into visual experiences that resonate on a deeper level.

My story began in Rome, where I graduated from the prestigious European Institute of Design in 2008 as a Digital and Virtual Designer. Hungry for new challenges, I moved to London and joined the dynamic team at Tundra* Group Films. For four incredible years, I dove headfirst into the world of motion graphics and art direction, bringing concepts to life from spark to screen.

A pivotal moment in my career came when Creative Review Magazine honored my film “The Genius of the Crowd”, inspired by the raw, unfiltered words of Charles Bukowski, with The Annual Award. The film was later screened at the Zebra Film Festival in Berlin — a milestone that fueled my passion even further.

Driven by my love for cinema and storytelling, I pursued a Master’s in VFX at the renowned Escape Studios. This experience opened the door to collaborations with some of the industry’s most respected studios, including Territory Studio, DNEG, and RISE FX — opportunities that allowed me to refine my craft and explore new storytelling frontiers.

What guides me now is a philosophy deeply rooted in Japanese culture: THIS IS NOW. In Japanese, it’s expressed as これは今 (Kore wa ima) — meaning this very moment. It’s a reminder that the past is gone, the future is unwritten, and the only thing that truly matters is what’s happening right here, right now. I strive to infuse this awareness into every project I touch, creating visual stories that don’t just capture attention but evoke feeling and invite the audience to fully experience the moment.

Because in the end, great stories aren’t just told — they’re lived.
